Ark cat sanctuary
We are an IRS recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit since 2008
Over the last 20 years we have rescued over 8000 cats and kittens from Northern Arizona (and beyond).
The Ark Cat Sanctuary is the only operating cat sanctuary in Northern Arizona and the majority of our intakes come from Flagstaff and Coconino County. Based on reported intake numbers from the top three shelters in the Flagstaff area (including the Ark) there are approximately 2600 to 2800 cats accepted into care in community shelters annually.
Over the last few years the Ark has taken in ~25% to 33% of the total number of cat intakes locally annually and we do it all on a shoestring budget, with no on-site veterinary services, and with no City or County funding. We depend on grants, donations and adoption fees to keep our non-profit running.

Sidekick
long term resident
Sidekick is a formerly feral TNR senior cat and a long term resident at the Ark. This poor fellow has some pretty terrible food and litter allergies that can make him break out in sores and lose fur in clumps if he gets the wrong food/litter. He needs a loving home with people willing to feed him a special diet and use litter that agrees with him. He likes getting petted but would prefer to run around the house and more keep an eye on people because of his former life.
